Month of the Water Rabbit
March 6 – April 4
After an intense beginning of the Tiger Year with a doubled up Water Tiger pillar and a tidal wave of water, this month we receive spring rains and beautiful spring flowers. Thankfully the energy of this month is a kinder and gentler energy after a challenging couple of months as we transitioned from one year to another.
The Water Rabbit pillar, like the Water Tiger pillar is an academic pillar, a good month to learn something new or to explore your creative side. It is also a great month to get creative in the garden or simply exercise your green thumb.
Of course this is the season of the birds and the bees and appropriately the Rabbit is a peach blossom zodiac sign as well. This month could be a particularly romantic one for those who have the Tiger, Horse or Dog day pillar in their 4 Pillars chart or those who have a Rabbit anywhere in their chart. If you are a single Fire or Earth Day Master Gal or a single Metal or Earth Day Master Guy this month could offer more opportunities for romance as well.
For those Tiger, Horse or Dog Day folks who are happily attached this is a great month to use the Peach Blossom energy to network and promote your business, grow your social media following, or to make a big splash with a marketing or advertising campaign.

The hexagram for this month and year is #54 Marrying Maiden which does echo the romantic nature of this month. However, while it sounds like a good thing this hexagram warns that what seems like a great situation may not be quite so wonderful upon closer inspection. It also signals that situations that begin very positively may sour over time so use great care and discernment in your interactions with others, and romantic partners in particular. For those who are simply using the Fellowship Hexagram of the year to network and cultivate connections you may find you are making unusual and unlikely alliances and that while not ideal these off beat ties could still bring some positive benefits so don’t prejudge based solely on appearance.
