Month of the Wood Tiger

04/02/2018 | By | No Comments

DSC_0858 (1)

Month of the Wood Tiger: A New Month and a New Year!
Happy New Year!

Today is the first day of the Tiger Month which means it is also the first day of the Earth Dog Year!

Since the Tiger is predominantly a wood element animal, a Wood Tiger month brings the energy of very strong wood. Wood is the element of growth and expansion, the perfect energy to begin a new year. The Tiger month also marks the beginning of spring a time of renewal and regeneration – a time for new beginnings and new life. This month is the perfect time to reinvigorate your life, a time for self renewal, for breathing new life into your plans and aspirations, and the perfect time to start new things. Are you ready to grow?

The hexagram for this month is #63 called Already Fulfilled or Accomplished. The imagery for this hexagram is of water over fire – a situation where one has achieved a delicate balance and it depicts a state of perfection where everything is accomplished. In short, the meaning of this hexagram is that once one has reached the pinnacle of completion things will naturally change and one must move on to new challenges and new undertakings. This is a time when we must turn our attention from what is already finished and toward what is to come so we can move forward. The Rooster year is done, it has been completed, and new opportunities and a new year lie ahead – are you ready to seize the day?

TIMING:

Wood Tiger Month February 4 – March 4

IMPORTANT DATES:

Monkey People: This is your clash month and you could experience both challenges and changes especially on Tiger days which are February 15 & 27.

Do you want to know which animals are in your chart? You can now view your chart for FREE using the NEW Astrology Chart Calculator on my website:

*If you have an important event like a wedding, construction start, move in date, or business launch to plan it is best to have a personalized date selection analysis to ensure the best outcome for YOU.

INAUSPICIOUS DATE:

February 10, Water Rooster Day (Clash to Rabbit)

This is a Danger Day and negative Dong Gong rating. While it may not be the only inauspicious day this month, in fact there are many this month, this date has few redeeming qualities. Best to put off important activities for another day.

AUSPICIOUS DATE:

February 19, Water Horse Day (Clash to Rat)

A Stable Day and a Two Star Dong Gong Rating: a good day for activities where long term stability is desired like moving into a new home or a wedding (ALWAYS consult a date selection specialist when choosing a wedding date as they are very complex).

FENG SHUI:

The two best sectors this month are the South and the Northwest. Use the South if you want to be seen and noticed – especially by potential romantic partners. Use the Northwest if you want to increase your personal power, rank and standing. A great sector to use if you are looking for a promotion.

Worst sector this month is the North, steer clear if you can and use this area of your home as little as possible.

Earth Dog Annual Forecast: Feng Shui

22/01/2018 | By | No Comments

IMG_6188

Feng Shui is not a once and done endeavor, but an ever changing alignment of people to places that takes into account the energy of the person and the energy of place in a given moment in time.

Energy is constantly in motion and we need to move with it in order to reap the maximum Feng Shui benefits from our spaces.

Now that you know what the energy of the year has in store for you based on your astrology chart, you can make a game plan for what areas of your life you want to focus on this year. Write down what goals you want to accomplish and identify what area of your home or office best supports those goals and move yourself accordingly.

If you have not already done so, the first step is to identify where  each of the 9 sectors are in your home by using a compass (smart phone compass works well) and superimposing the 8 directions on your home’s floor plan like the image below. Once that is done you can figure out where in your home or office the energy you need to succeed is.

Knowing what areas you want to avoid or keep quiet is just as important as knowing which areas you want to use the most so check which areas of your home the Yearly Afflictions fall into first.

Yearly Afflictions:

If you are thinking about renovating an area of your home or an addition it is always best to check that the areas you want to improve are not in the following sectors:

  • Northwest 1 Dog Sector between 292.6 – 307.5 degrees Northwest as the Grand Duke is here and we don’t want to “offend” the Grand Duke by disturbing this area.
  • Southeast 1 Dragon Sector between 112.6 – 127.5 degrees southeast as this is the Year Breaker sector which clashes with the energy of the year and a sector that should be kept quiet – no renovations here.
  • The entire North sector as it contains the San Sha or the ‘Three Killings’ as well as annual 5 Yellow Star – this area is doubly bad this year so LEAVE IT QUIET.

Here are the sectors where the energy is not as positive this year, these are the sectors to avoid or limit your activity in if possible.

The Negative Sectors:

Northeast: 3 Star The “Argument” star is in this sector which can bring more than the usual amount of tension and discord between people in a household or office environment. Shouting matches and disagreements can be quelled with extra communication. It is best to spend less time in this area if possible or you may also add actual fire by way of candles to suppress this negative star. *Please do not leave candles unattended!

West: 2 Star We have been calling the 2 Star the “Illness” star for some time now but as we move closer to period 9 this star is in transition from a negative one to a positive one.  The 2 Star is a mixed bag at this point. If you or a loved one are vulnerable to illness either from age, a preexisting condition or vulnerability based on their astrology chart for the year it would be better to avoid this area, especially if it is a bedroom. I would recommend sleeping elsewhere this year.  If however you are someone who works in real estate or with property this star could actually give you a boost and would be great for an office.

East: 7 Star This star is often called the “Robbery” star and can mean actual robbery or theft but it most often brings unhealthy competition, especially in the workplace, as well general discord and disharmony. For example if you are competing to win a client or contract you could be robbed of the opportunity by unfair or ugly competition. The 7 Star is quite incompatible with the wood element of the East sector as well, so the energy here this year is combative and aggressive best to steer clear if you can.

North: 5 Yellow Star The 5 Yellow star is the most volatile and negative star of the 9 stars. When activated by activity or construction it tends to bring with it issues and potentially serious problems. Best advice in this regard is to treat it like a hornets nest and just leave it alone altogether. The 5 Yellow can also bring illness especially to someone who is already vulnerable when it is present in a bedroom. So, if your bedroom is in the North I would seriously consider sleeping in a different location this year – preferably one of the positive sectors if possible. If it is not possible to move then be sure to cure this area with metal and a salt water cure (click here for directions on how to make one. http://bethgracefengshui.com/salt-cure/).

The Positive Sectors:

South: 4 Star This is also called the peach blossom star and is the star of romance and general likability. It is also the star of artists, scholars and academics. This year the 4 Star is in its ideal setting and forms a special connection to the energy of this sector amplifying the positive energy here. This is a great sector to use if your goals this year include building your brand, better visibility and name recognition. It is also the ideal sector to use for those who are working on creative projects or learning new skills. This is an ideal place to set up a craft, work space or study area for your children. Last but certainly not least those looking for love should use this sector to meet more people and to attract more attention from potential romantic partners. The best way to activate this sector for love is to sleep here!

Northwest: 1 Star This is the ultimate Nobleman or helpful person or benefactor star. This year this star is in its ideal sector forming a special combination with energy here and boosting the power of this star and its ability to bring the right people and connections into your life. This star is also excellent for boosting ones ability to communicate both the written and spoken word. As the saying goes “its all who you know” and by activating this sector this year you can connect with the right people to help you reach your goals. The best way to make use of this sector is to do your work and communications here.

Southwest: 6 Star This star is one of power and authority, the star that helps one shine ones reputation and improve your standing within your field or community. If your goal this year is to get a promotion or assume greater responsibility or a position of prestige or honor, this is the sector you should activate. The best way to make use of this space and further your goals is to spend time working or sleeping in this sector.

Central Palace: 9 Star This is the star of all happy life events and brings glad tidings and blessings. When activated, this star can bring, career success, weddings, new babies, joyful events, and future wealth. This year it is in the central palace which infuses the heart of the home with this positive energy. Generally in Feng Shui it is our preference to keep the center of our homes open and spacious but if there is a part of the central sector where you can comfortably work or even meditate from time to time you can tap into this positive joyful energy.

Southeast: 8 Star This is the current wealth star and one we always want to track from year to year so we can tap into it to give our finances a boost. The best way to stimulate this positive Qi is with movement and activity making this a great sector to work or sleep in this year. If your front door or other entrance is here then coming and going through this door will also help you activate this energy. Since the wealth star is in the Southeast, a sector that is good to stimulate with water, this is also a great sector for a water fountain, just be sure to activate it on a good day and avoid any sectors that clash your chart (you may need to work with a professional to fine tune this).

Earth Dog Annual Forecast

10/01/2018 | By | No Comments

IMG_6188
If you are reading this then you have survived two very volatile years, congratulations. You are probably wondering – will next year be as crazy? The quick answer thankfully, is no but it won’t necessarily be quiet either.

What made the last two years so intense was both the clash between fire and metal within the Fire Monkey and Fire Rooster pillars plus the fact that fire by its very nature is volatile and transformative which made for some crazy change.

The energy of this year is Yang Earth over Yang Earth, the same element which means there will be less volatility and chaos this year. You can even see the this elemental sameness in the Chinese characters for Earth Dog 戊 戌 as they look almost the same.

Yang Earth is likened to a mountain, strong, steady, quiet, enduring, dependable. This year will largely be characterized by these qualities and we can expect things to move at a slower pace this year and be more stable than the last two years. Mountains are also the domain of the sages and mystics so this year will also be a year that supports quiet contemplation, meditation and spiritual cultivation. This is a good year to focus inward and to get more centered and grounded.

The imagery of Yang Earth on top of Yang Earth is like one mountain on top of another – not unlike one mountain moving under another as described by plate tectonics. It takes a lot to move a mountain but when it does there is an earthquake.  Unfortunately this signifies that this year could have more than its share of earthquakes so prone areas should more vigilant.

The proportion of the 5 elements in the birth chart of the year tells us even more about what we can expect from this year.  While this is an Earth Dog year the dominant element is actually fire so there will still be a great deal of change and transformation this year and movements spawned by the upheaval of the last couple of years will likely continue to press forward to bring about reform.

Dogs are known for their loving companionship and loyalty but they can also be territorial and aggressive. The strong hidden fire in this year points to heated tensions below the surface which could erupt in conflict and combat. Since water, the element of communication is in short supply this year we may see diplomacy break down and battles ensue. This year’s dog is more likey to be part of a dog fight than a pedigree contest.

Whether this dog year greets you with a wagging tail or bared teeth depends largely on what is in your chart. Find out what is in store for you personally this year in the Chinese Zodiac animal sign horoscopes which are coming up next, so stay tuned!

Month of the Water Ox

01/01/2018 | By | No Comments

IMG_0006

Month of the Water Ox:

Are You Ready for the New Year?
Today may be the first day of 2018 but the year of the Earth Dog does not arrive until February 4. So, if you are not ready for the New Year to begin and are feeling a bit behind there is good news, you still have a whole month to prepare!

This month is the month of the Water Ox. As a winter month the Ox represents cold frozen soil. Yin water in winter manifests as snow and ice. The imagery of the Water Ox is that of a frozen field, covered in snow. Hard, frozen ground holding within it great potential and seeds of new life.

Just as a fallow field lies quiet under a blanket of snow, this yin time of year is a good time for us to pause and be quiet as well. This is a good month to cultivate stillness in order to hear our own inner voice. Its a good month for reflection and examination of our inner potential. A time to see what seeds are within us that we would like to cultivate and to bear fruit this year and make our plans for the new year accordingly.

The hexagram for this month is #22 Beauty or Grace which happens to be one of my favorite hexagrams. The imagery of this hexagram is a Mountain over Fire, which is about our inner fire or inner flame. It tells us that true beauty is not what is on the outside but comes from within. In keeping with the theme of stillness and contemplation this month, this hexagram asks us to stop and examine our inner landscape. What makes you beautiful on the inside and do you have the courage to let your inner beauty shine in 2018? This month fan your inner flame and think of news ways to share your light with the world in the coming year.

TIMING:

Water Ox Month January 6 – February 3

IMPORTANT DATES:

Goat People: This is your clash month and a time when the energy of the month runs counter to you, so it is best to use caution this month. Ox days may be especially tough as the clash energy is doubled up on these days and they are January 9, 21 and February 2 (still Ox month).

This day is a day to avoid important activities and since it is a Friday a good day to leave work early for the weekend and just wait until the following week to get things done. It is also a day to be especially careful when it comes to physical safety as accidents and injuries are more likely.

AUSPICIOUS DATES:

January 17, Earth Rooster Day (Clash to Rabbit)

A Success Day and a Three Star Dong Gong Rating: great for almost any important activity except moving house, making large purchases or marriage (ALWAYS consult a date selection specialist when choosing a wedding date).

FENG SHUI: No one sector stands out as extremely bad or extremely good this month. In fact as the energy is shifting from one year to another everything is in flux.

This is the month to make plans to implement any changes necessary to make the most of the coming year’s energy. Its a good month to assess where you plan to spend more time in your home, and which areas you should keep quiet and move furniture accordingly. This is also the month to place metal and salt water cures for the Annual 5 Yellow which moves to the North on February 4.  Stay tuned for my annual forecast which will be available soon.

Month of the Water Rat

31/12/2017 | By | No Comments

The month of the Water Rat begins this Thursday, December 7, during the Dragon hour which is 7-9 am. In Chinese metaphysics when we refer to Chinese Zodiac animals like the rat, we don’t refer to them literally rather, we refer to them symbolically and metaphorically. You see, each animal represents a direction, a season, elements and imagery to help us understand the qualities these animals represent in a more tangible way.

This month, the imagery of the Water Rat is of Yang Water like the ocean above Yin Water like snow or ice – it is the image of an iceberg in deep, cold, winter water. It is darkness and depth and represents more below the surface than meets the eye.

This month we experience the darkest days of the year, and we cannot see as well in the dark. Much is hidden from view or even mysterious. Its a good time to dig a little deeper and to look a little closer at things, you may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg. There could be much more lurking beneath the surface and what you find could be surprising. The best way to get more information this month is through communication – sometimes if you want to know more all you have to do is ask.

The I Ching hexagram for this month is #51 called Thunder. The imagery of this hexagram is of thunder over thunder. Much like the pillar of this month, it is a doubled energy which brings intensity. This hexagram is likened to the shock and surprise that one feels when there is a loud clap of thunder. It can be surprising, shocking and even frightening. Usually, this hexagram refers to news or a life event that hits us unexpectedly and throws us off balance. Sometimes in life we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg an when we discover what has been hidden from our view it can up upsetting or even frightening. The advice of this hexagram is remain calm during these times and not to give into fear. Wait for things to settle and calm down before taking any action.

TIMING:

Water Rat Month December 7 – January 5

IMPORTANT DATES:

Horse People: This is your clash month and a time when the energy of the month runs counter to you, so it is best to use caution this month. Rat days may be especially tough as the clash energy is doubled up on these days and they are December 15 and 27.

Worst Sector South: The negative 5 yellow star has been residing in the South sector all year and this month the 2 Star or illness star is also here. If you are prone to illness best to sleep somewhere else this month. Keep this area quiet just a little while longer and avoid renovations or disturbing the ground in the South sector of your property. It won’t be long now, only one more month to go before the South transforms from a negative area to a positive one. You will find out all about that in my forthcoming Annual Forecast!

Best Sector Northeast: The Northeast has had Peach Blossom or Romance and Likability all year. This month this sector is getting a big boost and will be a powerful sector to use if you want to be noticed. Peach Blossom luck can make us more attractive both to the opposite sex as well as those we wish to make a good impression on. Since the Rat is also a Peach Blossom animal the chance for romance this month is high especially if you are sleeping or working in the Northeast sector.

The Rooster year is winding down now and January will be the last month of the year (in the Chinese calendar). Be sure to stay tuned for my annual forecast for the Earth Dog Year which is coming soon!

If you find this information intriguing and wish to learn more, there is still time to register for my upcoming Feng Shui Training course which begins Feb 2, 2018. Please visit our webpage for more information. http://www.americanacademymetaphysics.com

Month of the Metal Pig

03/11/2017 | By | No Comments

Detail of metal pig sculpture by Trisha Moody-Bourbeau.

The pig ushers in the first month of the winter season in the Chinese solar calendar. The winter is the season of water, a season of darkness and cold and the Pig brings with it deep Yang water. The fire of this year is weakening as the new year draws close and the water of the season is weakening it further.  Since Fire brings passion and optimism this month could see a dampening of optimism and a shift toward more quiet introspection.

The Pig is one of the Growth Star animals also called Travel Star animals. These Growth Star animals represent the new as they usher in the new season, they are also about expansion, forward thinking and even forward momentum. Rather than feel the let down that may accompany the weakening of fire, use this time to explore new ways of seeing things, new ways of doing things, challenge yourself to new growth and look for the possibilities that can take you in dew directions. This is also a great month for travel whether you are simply visiting loved ones for the Thanksgiving holiday or planning a personal get away.

Not only is the season of water good for travel but it supports communication as well, both the spoken and the written word.  This is a great time for diplomacy so let’s hope our world leaders use it wisely and negotiate rather than resort to violence. This is also a good time to have that heart to heart with someone, to speak up at work and ask for what you want, or to put pen to paper and write your story.

The I Ching hexagram for this month is #8 called Alliance or Union. The imagery of this hexagram is of water over the earth and describes a place where water gathers together on the earth like a lake. This hexagram signifies a time of coming together, joining forces, working together for a common goal. This is not the time to go it alone but a time for togetherness a time to support one another and share the load. Thanksgiving, which is also celebrated this month, is a holiday which perfectly embodies the spirit of this hexagram. It was because the Native American people worked together with the colonists sharing their wisdom and bounty that the colonists survived the winter. Today Thanksgiving is a time of coming together to celebrate and share our good fortune. This is a good month to carry that spirit of togetherness into all that you do. Don’t be a loner and don’t leave anyone out.

TIMING:

Earth Rooster Month November 8 –  December 7

IMPORTANT DATES:

Snake People: This is your clash month and a time when the energy of the month is not as supportive to you so best to use caution this month. Pig days may be especially tough as the clash energy is doubled up on these days and they are November 8, 20 and December 2 (still Pig month) .

I am taking a different approach to dates by giving you the best and worst of the month. Of course because we live in a Space – Time continuum date selection is the key to unlocking the energy potential in your space with Feng Shui. The best results come when you use a date that also connect to YOU personally: Heaven – Man – Earth connect!

*If you have an important event like a wedding, construction start, move in date, or business launch to plan it is best to have a personalized date selection analysis to ensure the best outcome.

INAUSPICIOUS DATE

November 26, Fire Snake or Ding Si day (Clash to Pig)

This day not only clashes the month and year but also lacks positive good stars to mitigate the negative energy. Avoid any important activities on this day and use caution in general as accidents are more likely.

AUSPICIOUS DATES:

November 16, Fire Goat or Ding Wei day (Clash to Ox)

A Success Day and Excellent Dong Gong Rating: great for almost any important activity except traveling, moving house or marriage (ALWAYS consult a date selection specialist when choosing a wedding date).

FENG SHUI:

Worst Sector South: The annual 5 yellow resides in the South sector this year and this month the monthly 3 Star or argument star is also here. The 3 and 5 stars clash so the energy is quite turbulent here. Keep this area as quiet as possible and avoid renovations or disturbing the ground in the South sector of your property.

Best Sector East: This sector is a very positive one all year because the current Wealth Star or 8 Star resides here. This month the noble 6 Star brings not only prosperity but good connections and status. If you are looking for a promotion or to move ahead in your career this is the sector to spend more time in this month. The best way to tap this Qi is to use a door in this sector, work in this sector or sleep here to stimulate this positive Qi!

Month of the Metal Dog

06/10/2017 | By | No Comments

DSC_0230This month, the Metal Dog month, brings the autumn season to a close and gives us a little glimpse of what next year could be like. How you fare with the dog around this month could give you an indicator of how the impending Earth Dog year might affect you. Those with Dragons in their chart may feel some discomfort and could even see some changes this month. For those with a rabbit in their chart, who have been feeling the clash of this year, the dog month may bring a welcome respite.

This month, pay attention to how you fare in the various areas of your life as this could indicate what you need to pay closer attention to in the coming year and where you may need more support.

For those who have been enjoying the benefits of the Rooster year, this is the time to make the most of it as the energy of the Rooster is winding down now and we are beginning to feel the effects of the Dog year creeping in. So don’t procrastinate, use this time wisely and make as much progress as you can while the wind is in your sails. As they say, make hay while the sun shines. If you have not been having a good time of it this year, just hang on, relief is coming.

The I Ching hexagram for this month is #12 called Stagnation. The imagery is of the earth moving down and heaven moving upward, away from one another, Heaven and Earth do not connect or relate to one another. Imagine if you will two people with their backs to one another, no communication or interaction between them. This is a time when things are slowed or sluggish and marked by a general lack of progress. You may find that you lack connections that you seek with others or simply a lack communication or understanding. It is also possible to feel that your plans are stalled and not moving at the pace you had hoped for. Don’t let the seeming setbacks get you down, its just a time when things have slowed not stopped. Resist the temptation to force things forward, the energy is just not with you at this time. Keep taking steps forward toward your goal even if they are small. Take this time to reevaluate your plans and keep your cool while you wait for things to move again. This too shall pass.

TIMING:
Metal Dog Month October 8 – November 6

IMPORTANT DATES:

Dragon People: This is your clash month and a preview of you upcoming clash year! You may find this month exasperating or rocky just keep calm and carry on carefully. Dog days may be especially trying this month as the clash energy is doubled up on these days and they are October 14 & 26.

I am taking a different approach to dates by giving you the best and worst of the month. Of course there are many other good days and not so good days this month, the key is finding the date that works best for you and your intended activity!

So, if you have an important event like a wedding, construction start, move in date, or business launch to plan it is best to have a personalized date selection analysis to ensure the best outcome.

INAUSPICIOUS DATE:

October 14, Wood Dog or Jia Xu day (Clash to Dragon)
A day of intensified energy, not suitable for any important activities.

AUSPICIOUS DATES:
October 12, Water Monkey or Earth Goat or Ren Shen day (Clash to Tiger)
An Open Day and Auspicious Dong Gong Rating with an auspicious constellation, a great day for open houses and business openings, or beginning a new course of study.

FENG SHUI:

Worst Sector South: The year may be winding down but the 5 yellow still rules the South. It’s best to continue to keep this area of your home or office quiet with infrequent use and as little activity as possible.

Best Sector South East: The auspicious 9 star harbinger of happy events and circumstances is in the South East this year and this month the 8 star which is the current wealth star joins this positive sector. This is the sector of your home or office where you should try to spend more time this month. Figure out which room or rooms are in the South East and use them, especially if they are seldom used rooms don’t miss out on the positive energy here!

Month of the Rooster

Double Roosters

Month of the Earth Rooster: Double the Trouble, Double the Fun

Today is the first day of the Rooster Month. A Rooster Month in a Rooster Year brings a doubling of this pure metal energy. In fact, today is also a Rooster day which means the energy is intensified!

Just how this concentrated energy will affect you, as always depends largely on your BaZi or 4 Pillars birth chart, and of course on how you use it.

First the bad news. When we see two Roosters in a BaZi birth chart it represents a self punishment, or some kind of self sabotage. A self punishment means that you are more likely to make a mistake or err in judgment in such a way that it comes back to bite you. Anyone who has a Rooster in their chart should be doubly careful this month of mis-steps, whether it is the usual self destructive habits or simply acting before thinking through the consequences – think before you speak! The good news about self punishments is that this is something you can control so the power to head off potential problems is in your own hands!

Now for the good news. As I said in my annual forecast, the Rooster is a peach blossom or romance star animal in the Chinese Zodiac. For those of you who are single and looking for love this month has a lot of energy to support your quest. If you are already in a relationship this peach blossom energy also presents a great opportunity to bring a bit of romance into your relationship, so be sure to plan a date night. If neither love nor romance interest you, never fear because you can also channel this peach blossom energy to market yourself or make connections.

The I Ching hexagram for this month is #56 called Traveling. The imagery of this hexagram is fire on a mountain top which spreads quickly, essentially this hexagram is about movement. Traveling hexagram tells us that this is a time of forward motion, exploring new vistas and new territory. It is a time of momentum and growth. However, this hexagram also comes with a caution. When one is in unfamiliar territory, like a traveler in a strange land, one must be cautious and prudent as one does not know this new terrain well. The concentrated energy of this month can certainly move you on to new places and new ventures but the margin for error is also high so just go carefully and watch your steps!

TIMING:

Earth Rooster Month September 7 –  October 7

IMPORTANT DATES:

Rabbit People: This is your clash month and also your clash year! Chances are you have taken some hits already and this month you may feel like you are being knocked down. Take it easy, be gentle with yourself and lay low until next month if possible. People with Rabbit in their day pillar should be extra vigilant about their health. Rooster days may be especially tough this month as the clash energy is tripled on these days and they are September 7, 19 and October 1 (still Rooster Month)

I am taking a different approach to dates by giving you the best and worst of the month. Of course because we live in a Space – Time continuum date selection is the key to unlocking the energy potential in your space with Feng Shui. The best results come when you use a date that also ties YOU to your space: Heaven – Man – Earth connect!

*If you have an important event like a wedding, construction start, move in date, or business launch to plan it is best to have a personalized date selection analysis to ensure the best outcome.

INAUSPICIOUS DATE:

September 25, Wood Rabbit or Yi Mao day (Clash to Rooster)

This day not only clashes the month and year but also lacks any good stars to mitigate the negative energy. Avoid any important activities on this day and use caution in general as accidents are more likely.

AUSPICIOUS DATES:

September 15, Wood Snake Day or Yi Si day (Clash to Pig)

A Success Day and Excellent Dong Gong Rating: great for almost any important activity except traveling.

September 29, Earth Goat or Ji Wei day (Clash to Ox)

An Open Day and Auspicious Dong Gong Rating, a great day for open houses and business openings, or beginning a new course of study.

FENG SHUI:

Just as the Rooster energy of the month is doubled with the energy of the year, so too is the flying star energy as the Monthly and Yearly energies in each sector is also doubled up! Therefore, what is good is very very good and what is already bad is horrid.

Worst Sector South: The annual 5 yellow resides in the South sector this year and this month the monthly 5 yellow is also in this sector. Keep this area as quiet as possible and avoid renovations or disturbing the ground in the South sector of your property.

Best Sector East: This sector is a very positive one all year because the current Wealth Star or 8 Star resides here and the monthly 8 star is here this month as well. This is a great sector to spend more time in and if you have a door here use it often to stimulate this positive Qi!

Month of the Earth Monkey and Exciting News!

02/08/2017 | By | 2 Comments

DSC_0757

Did you know that you are more likely to move in a year or a month that clashes your chart?  That’s because clashes bring change are often the catalyst that propels us in a new direction.

This monkey month, which is my clash month, is bringing big changes for me both personally and professionally. I am very excited to announce that I have taken a position as a design associate at an interior design firm in Lenox, MA and am buying an historic home in the beautiful Berkshires! Moving to the country and renovating an antique home have long been dreams of mine and I am so happy to see these wishes fulfilled at this time in my life. One of the perks of my new job is that it will allow me to incorporate Feng Shui into the work our firm does, and to continue my independent Feng Shui and Chinese Metaphysics consulting practice. As my entire office and library are in boxes, I will resume my Chinese Metaphysics work in the month of the Rooster once I am settled.

Whether, like me, you find yourself moving this month or not, change is upon us all now and a new cycle is about to begin! We have been in a period of time dominated by the Fire element, which brings change and transformation, since the Snake year in 2013. This month is a major turning point as this long period of fire is coming to a close and a period dominated by Earth element begins to make its presence known with the start of this month. Chances are if you look back at your life from 2013 until now you will see that is has been a time of personal growth and transformation – it certainly has been for me!

The energy of Earth, which is the dominant element this month, is about stability and security. Yang Earth is strong and steady, like a mountain. Earth is also the element of productivity and nurturing, so we can expect to see less volatility overall and hopefully a kinder, gentler energy around us as we move toward the end of the Fire Rooster year.

The I Ching hexagram for this month is #59 called Dispersing. The imagery of this hexagram is wind over the water and is likened to a persistent and gentle breeze which over time can even melt an iceberg. It is about wearing away hard attitudes or rigidity, and softening one’s heart. Much like a persistent suitor who wins over the heart of his beloved over time, this hexagram tells us to be consistent and gentle when trying to penetrate the hearts and minds of those who may not see eye to eye with us. Be patient, be persistent, be gentle.

Important Dates:
Wood Earth Monkey Month August 7 –  September 7

IMPORTANT DATES:

Tiger People: This is your clash month so use caution in general especially on Monkey days which are  August 13, 25 & September 6 as the clash energy is doubled up on these days.

I am taking a different approach to dates this month by giving you the best and worst of the month. Of course because we live in a Space – Time continuum date selection is the key to unlocking the energy potential in your space with Feng Shui. The best results come when you use a date that also ties YOU to your space: Heaven – Man – Earth connect!

*If you have an important event like a wedding or business launch to plan it is best to have a personalized date selection analysis to ensure the best outcome.
*Don’t know what animals are in your chart or how they may affect you? Contact me for a personalized astrological chart reading!

INAUSPICIOUS DATE:

August 14, Water Rooster or Gui You day (Clash to Rabbit People) A negative star and Remove day, the energy of this day is shifting and unstable and affected by several varieties of Sha or noxious Chi. Do not plan important activities on this day.

AUSPICIOUS DATES:

August 23, Water Horse or Ren Wu day (Clash to Rat People)
A Three Star, Open Day, great for grand openings, open houses, also great for wealth and receiving help from noblemen.

August 29, Earth Rat or Wu Zi day (Clash to Horse People)
A Two Star, Stable Day, a great day to undertake activities which will have long term implications and when you want to have happy and long lasting effects. Great for Marriages, moving house, renovations, signing contracts. Especially beneficial for Rat, Dragon and Monkey people as you combine with the day and the month!

FENG SHUI:

Northeast: This month the negative 5 yellow is visiting this otherwise auspicious sector. If your home faces Southwest and thereby sitting Northeast, you could see issues affecting the household overall. This is a good month to skip renovations in general especially in the NE sector of your home.

East: This sector is a very positive one all year because the current Wealth Star or #8 Star resides here. This month this sector will get a powerful boost from the #9 star bringing happy events and blessings – a great sector for a bedroom and if you have a door here use it often!

Feng Shui was of course used extensively in the selection of my new home in the Berkshires. I look forward to sharing more about that process including tips you can use for your own house hunting later this fall.
