The Fire Horse is the most fiery and brilliant of all 60 pillars which is good because we certainly need fire in the midst of this tumultuous, watery year. This powerful fire may be the calm before the storm as this feel good energy may give us a false sense of security as we expect that the autumn and winter months ahead to be more challenging.
The brilliant light of the Fire Horse shines a light on everything, revealing all, and many things will come to light this month. What dark corners do you want or need to shine a light on? On the flip side if you have been hiding something this is a month when it is likely to be made known whether you are ready or not so best to be brave and let it out on your own terms.
Generally Yang Fire is feel good bask in the sunlight energy but this pillar’s fire is an extreme and even more competitive than other Bing fire pillars which is really saying something. This pillar has a fighting spirit and is ready to ride into battle. If this pillar were a Tarot card it would be the Chariot, do or die, all or nothing. What do you feel passionately about? What are you willing to fight for? This is the month to go for it.
Of course I would also be remiss if I didn’t highlight the fact that this intensely passionate pillar is also one of the 4 Peach Blossom stars so all of this fire could also be channeled into romance. This is especially true for folks whose day pillars are Snake, Rooster or Ox. As the song says Love is a Battlefield, this month that will especially ring true.

The lines of this hexagram depict a load carrying beam which is bending and about to break under the weight of accumulated stress and pressure. This hexagram tells us that when things reach their breaking point one cannot sit idly by, one must take action. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures and this hexagram is a call to that action. When things come to a head we must summon our courage and charge at the issue or problem at hand.
