It’s a trick question.
Yes, there are literally Dragons on the roof of the temple, but I am referring to the mountain ranges this temple is facing and receiving the Qi from. Those are the powerful dragons!
In Feng Shui, we refer to mountain ranges as Dragons to describe their aliveness and the movement of Qi through them.
Do you have such a Dragon in your location?
The imagery of the Earth Dragon pillar of this month is of lush, green mountains, like the misty mountains shown in this picture. The Earth Dragon contains great power and majesty, it represents the immense power of the Earth that empowers the Feng Shui of a location and in turn our lives as well.
In terms of timing, the Dragon month is the final month of the spring season, when spring rains water vegetation and seeds planted begin to sprout and grow as we head into the warmer summer months.
The hexagram for this month is #10 called Tread or Fulfillment. The ancient I Ching texts say “Treading upon a tiger’s tail, does not bite. Prosperous and smooth.” This hexagram is about treading carefully while fulfilling one’s duty, watching your steps along the way. Though the situation may seem fraught with danger this hexagram tells us that as long as care is taken you can make it through the adversity and find success. What sticky situations are you dealing with? Are you treading carefully? It’s a good month to evaluate the course you are taking and check each step along your path, making sure YOU don’t step on the Tiger’s tail!
