Month of the Earth Pig

Earth Pig Month

November 7 – December 6

I have just attended my teacher Joey Yap’s annual seminar for the upcoming Fire Rooster year in New York this past weekend.  He reiterated what I said in my Rooster month forecast which is that while we are still in the Monkey year until February 3, we are already starting to feel the effects of the Rooster year now.  These last three months of the year are going to be a time of great change and transition, and a great time to make preparations for the year ahead by knowing what is coming for you personally and professionally and by making changes in your space to support you in the new year.  Can you already feel a shift in the energy? If you have not yet then this Pig month may be the month when you notice some changes.

The Earth Pig month will really start with a bang this year as the first day of the month, November 7th is not only the Month Breaker but also the eve of the Presidential Election here in the U.S.  This influx of water element is unfavorable to both candidates as it literally dampens their support and last minute election surprises are not out of the question.  The good news for the US is that no matter who is elected our region of the globe is poised to fare better than many parts of the world this year, so still reason to hope that despite the election madness the U.S. will still have a relatively positive outlook next year.

The Earth Pig is Yin Earth which is like garden soil sitting on top of a large body of water, or like sand along the shore of a large body of water, this earth is no match for the powerful water and is shifting and unstable.   The Pig and the Monkey have a harming relationship with one another so this could also be a trying month in which we are put through our paces.  Use the water energy this month to foster good communication which may ease tensions.

The hexagram for this month is #20 Observation/Watching.  The imagery of this hexagram is of a watchtower and signifies looking at things from a higher vantage point in order to see the larger picture.  The watchtower also signifies being at a height where one is especially visible. The other meaning of this hexagram is about watching one’s inner landscape and contemplation. This is a good month to step out of the hustle and bustle to not only look at life from a higher perspective but also to take time for inner work and meditation. While it may seem paradoxical, it is by cultivating and contemplating our inner light that we are most effective and able to radiate our best qualities to those around us and improve our world.  Especially in a month where we are voting for our leaders and thinking about how we want to shape our world it is a good time to pause and do some soul searching before taking action.

Important Dates

Snake People: this is your clash month so use caution in general especially on Pig days which are November 13 & 25.

INAUSPICIOUS DATES:
These are the days that are generally inauspicious for everyone, days to use caution on, and unsuitable for important events or activities.

Month Breaker: These are days with unstable energy. Caution is urged especially for Pig people as these are also your personal clash days November 7, 19 and December 1 (Still Pig Month).

Year Breaker: Though not generally as volatile as Month breaker days, these are still days to use caution, especially Monkey people since these are your personal clash days and they are    November 16 & 28 .

AUSPICIOUS DATES:
These are the days that are generally lucky for everyone, except those who clash with it. These are great days to plan important events or activities.

Success Days: November 9 & 21 – Success days generally bring good outcomes for all endeavors except for legal activity.  (Clash to Ox people)

Remove Days:  November 14 & 26  – These are good days to let go of what no longer serves you and to just let it go. Looking to leave your job or fire someone? Then this is the day for you and will ensure a nice clean break. (Clash to Horse people).

Initiate Days: November 18 & 30   After you have successfully removed what no longer serves you, use an Initiate day to start something new or to bring something new into your life. (Clash to Dog people)

Feng Shui

This month’s flying star chart is interesting as the monthly and yearly energy in each sector is the same. So, what is good is doubly good and what is bad is doubly bad as well.

Worst Sectors: The sectors that you absolutely want to keep quiet this month are the Northeast and the Central palaces. Keep activity here to a minimum and no renovations or activations.

Best Sectors: The Southwest has double 8’s which is the current wealth star, so if you want to boost your finances use this sector as much as possible.  The South and Southeast palaces have the auspicious 6 and 1 stars respectively so these are also great sectors to use often this month.

With the Rooster year approaching quickly, now is a good time to schedule your annual Feng Shui tune up to prepare your home or office for the new year.  It is the best time to plan ahead for any changes or renovations you may have in mind and also a good time to create a strategy to make your space support your goals for the new year.  Be sure to contact me to find out more!

Best of luck to all of us this election month!
