Month of the Earth Snake
May 5 – June 5
Welcome to the first month of the Summer Season and the Clash Month of this year.
Are you ready for the clash? Ready to shake things up?
If you have a Snake and or a Pig in your chart you will feel the impact of this Clash Month more keenly. Where the Pig and Snake are in your chart will tell you more specifically which area of your life will most be affected by this month’s energy.
A clash does not necessarily mean that it will be a bad month, a clash simply brings change, and sometimes change comes in a forceful way. How that plays out has a lot to do with your attitude toward change. Are you open to going with the flow or are you resisting? Sometimes change is scary but it is also necessary. Without change we simply don’t grow or learn the lessons we need for self mastery.
That’s not to say that the clash won’t bring some challenges as well so its a good month to use extra caution and stay on your toes. If you sense tension brewing talk it out before the situation blows up. Be proactive and drive defensively.
The hexagram for this month is #34 called Great Strength. The imagery of this hexagram is Thunder over Heaven like a great thunderstorm which brings immense yang energy with it. The message of the hexagram is that you now have great power and energy available to you which you can channel into real momentum toward your goals and aspirations. The question is how will you use this power? While it is important to have ‘The Force’ with you as it were, the power of your character is equally important. It’s a good month to charge ahead but do so in the right way. Don’t run others over on your way to success, and be grateful to those who helped you get to where you are.
